Toshiba 55WX800 Great TV!!! Its so wonderful

This TV is wonderful!! It feel like we are at the cinema. All I need is some popcorn. lol. Overall, for the price, the TV is excellent! I recommend buying this TV for your bedroom or living room.

I purchased this TV on Aug. 1st.
For the money it’s a very good TV and I am real happy with it.
It has a very good picture and is very easy to hook up. The sound thru my Dish HD receiver is very good but not as good when playing a DVD. (Hence, the four star rating)
I use HDMI cables for both the TV and the DVD player and run the TV about four hours a day.
I checked other 720P 32″ brands and again this one to me was the best.

I am very please with the Amazon shopping experience. I researched the products offered vs the prices and settled on this TV. I was hoping to be wowed as I was watching a 19inch Symphonic prior to this purchase. I think it is a good product just not a “great” product. I was trying to get the best value for the buck and I think I met my goal. Perhaps something a little more expensive would have been better.

ASUS 1015PN-PU17-BK Netbook The true price is about $120 more

I just purchased this netbook and based on the reviews, I purchased the 2 Mb of RAM. But that meant I also had to buy the Home Edition of Windows 7. Thus to get the best performance out of this netbook, I had to spend an extra $150, making the real cost about $440. So far, the netbook is performing as expected which is quite good given its size. I will update this review after I have the unit for a longer period of time.

I love my Asus Eee PC! Since it’s a netbook, the screen size makes it difficult to do everything I need to do, so I mostly use it for travel and web surfing. I actually loaded Ubuntu Linux on it, and after some minor tweaking of the screen contrast settings, it has worked great! I would definitely recommend this computer to anyone who wants something small and light to take with them to coffee shops, libraries, on vacation, or even students who want to use it to take notes in class. It is sturdy and light and the battery has a good life (4-6 hours).

Very nice little note book every thing is just as stated.Fast easy key board is comfortable. The programs are very easy. The only complaint as of now is the battery its not lasting but 6 -7 hrs.If any one knows any things I can do let me know.

Acer TimelineX AS5820T-7683 superb laptop for the money

I use a LOT of laptops, thanks to my job as a network admin. Lots of Toshibas, and I own a few Acers myself.

I really like this laptop, it’s everything (almost) that you would want in a laptop. Thin, light, long battery life, reasonable price for what it contains. i3 processor is powerful. 13″ is the sweet spot, even for an old guy who needs reading glasses.

The other reviews say it all and I agree mostly. Here are some other points I feel are worth mentioning:

Plus: Driver disc (which you must burn yourself) makes wiping system and putting on other Windows 7 versions a snap. (I used Win7 x64 Enterprise, since this is a work computer). Loaded Enterprise, inserted driver disc (into my external DVD drive that I already had), and loaded only the drivers I needed. Even has all the proprietary function key stuff like turn on WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. Toshiba could learn a lesson here.

Includes Bluetooth (some version of the AS3820T have a faster processor but no bluetooth).

PROS:
Got this baby from Fry’s on sale for $549. I am a power user and expect a lot from my machines..this notebook exceeded all those expectations. I really get 8 hours of battery life, unless I am playing a game, decoding a video, or doing other laborious cpu tasks. Everything is very fast. Video and graphics are great. It does a flawless job with 3D in linux compiz window manager with all the effects enabled, for example. Very light, comfortably-sized keyboard, super-thin (especially the LED display), powerful, all-day computing. WOW. The stock 32gb WD drive was pretty fast, but I installed an SSD and now this thing is insane.

CONS:
It’s hard to complain, but the keyboard took a few minutes to get used to because the keys don’t travel as far downward as I am used to. Sometimes the screen is too bright and I have to turn the brightness down.

Gateway NV79C52u Best Laptop

This laptop is fantastic. This laptop is a home run! Super fast, massive hard drive, runs any video game you want. This is a great all around computer. But it is a magnet for fingerprints. Someone could probably frame me for murder with all these finger prints. I don’t care about that I just care about the awesome computer within! I recommend this computer for some one who wants a excellent computer but doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on one.

The only other con is the Office package it comes with (and I think this is across the board with Windows-based computers these days): It comes with Microsoft WORKS rather than Microsoft OFFICE. MS Works kind of stinks…it’s a watered down version of Office, which I don’t care for much because it doesn’t have the same capabilities as the real programs like Word and Excel. You do have the option to purchase MS Office after a 60-day trial, but I wish I didn’t have to bother with the download. I’d rather just pay extra up front and have it already.

Overall, I found all the pros outweigh the cons. I love this computer and I am very happy with it. Gateway computers have served me well over the last 15 years and I wouldn’t buy anything else.

Sony VPCW11S1E Review: Small and Portable Netbook Packed With Heavy Features

The Sony VAIO VPCW11S1E Netbook is a 10.1 screen mini laptop that provides a high-definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which is truly a notch higher than other netbook computers sold in the market today. This mini laptop will surely become the constant travelling companion of more people, because of its sturdy and well-built frame. Here are the other note-worthy features of the Sony VPCW11S1E.

Much Cheaper Than The Nokia Netbook

The Sony VPCW11S1E is also much cheaper than the equivalent Nokia netbook, as the Nokia costs around £400, while the Sony VAIO netbook goes for just around £220. The netbook computer’s battery life though is only around three hours, which some say is quite disappointing when compared to other netbook’s, which promise full daytime battery life.

Quality of Sound

The VAIO netbook’s sound quality can be adjusted by simply pressing the Fn key, plus F3 to reduce the volume, and F4 to increase volume. The netbook’s volume range goes from quiet to exceptionally quiet, sound quality is deemed average and some users have complained of hearing a white noise-like hum. Some also complain that the sound quality is not too desirable, even when using headphones.

Equipped With A 250 GB Hard Drive

While most netbook’s do not offer much, in terms of resources, this Sony netbook comes with a 160GB hard drive and a spin speed of 5400 rpm. The netbook may also be upgraded to a hard disk capacity of 250GB.

The VAIO Runs Using The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 Video Card

The Sony VPCW11S1E netbook is powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 video card. It also comes equipped with a memory stick slot, SD card slot, a jack for headphones, a microphone jack, and an RJ-45 jack for connecting to the network. A 0.3 Webcam located on the display also provides maximum resolution of up to 640 x 480 pixels.

The netbook’s installed programs include the VAIO Media Plus for Network, McAfee Internet Security Suite, which allows for 60 days for users to update the Antivirus, and the VAIO Recovery Utility, for HDD recovery. It also comes equipped with a battery which provides up to 2.6 hours of lifespan.

Powered By A 1.66 GHZ Processor

The Sony VPCW11S1E also features an Intel Atom 1.66 GHz processor N280 with enhanced Intel Speedstep technology, which indicates that the VAIO netbook is truly a small but powerful and truly fast netbook PC. The Sony VAIO netbook also includes the Windows XP Home operating software. This is not necessarily the most updated of operating systems. The netbook also includes software such as Windows Media Player (for audio, video, TV and photo) and VAIO Media Plus for home networking, as well as Adobe reader 9.

Breville BOV650XL Compact 4-Slice Smart Oven You get what you pay for!

I researched toaster ovens for months before finally deciding to bite the bullet and cough up for this model. (Second place was the ~$35 B&D.) It hurt to part with so much money, but I am glad I did.

Although I have a full-size oven, I cook for every meal and live alone, so the portions are generally small, and saving time is key. Since investing in this little wonder, my main oven has become nothing more than kitchen storage. I’ve used this oven to bake, broil, toast, and cook, all for much less time and less energy. I don’t doubt for a minute that it already earned back its $155 price tag– and I’ve only had it five months!

Furthermore, my sister lives in Japan in an apartment with VERY little space; for years she had only a very old, worn-out toaster oven that could barely even toast properly. I strong-armed her into purchasing one of these and she couldn’t be more pleased. Now it doesn’t matter that Japan isn’t fond of whole wheat bread; she can bake her own!

I hesitated to buy this because of price…so glad I did. I got a “damaged” box from Amazon & saved some money by doing that. The oven works perfectly…1st time we’ve had toast that’s evenly toasted in years. My 19 year old son uses it constantly & says it’s by far the best we’ve ever had. Yes, you will need to read the instructions, but it is quite easy to operate, sturdy, efficient & worth what I paid.

Toro 38381 Power Curve Snow Thrower Going 100% ELECTRIC

Like most here, I bought this blower before the Winter arrives. It was a birthday present from me to me, on behalf of my lower back which hurt a lot last Winter from shoveling the snow. At the store where I bought it (HD), the rep kept trying to convince me not to buy it since it wasn’t gas and only a 1 stage blower. I can’t buy a gas blower as I don’t have a garage and the shed is far away from the street and house. Making an electric snow blower my only option if I am to avoid back pain. I also bought the 12 guage 100 foot extension cord to keep it chugging. Besides having to use the cord, I’m worried about how it will work with ice-snow and heavy snow. Those wheels will be a little tough to push in the show, but if I don’t have to lift snow with a shovel, I will be satisfied. Yes, I know I have to run it every 8 inches, no problem there. I do this anyway year after year with a shovel as I don’t ever want to wake up to 20 inches of snow on the driveway. I just hope it survives a few years. And if this insurance scares away most of the show this Winter, then it met its objective. Sometime this Winter, I’ll update this review and post the results of this experiment.

Well – I also purchased early on – couldn’t wait to sell my older model CCR1000 Toro – gas powered, and I did! I never got it to start during my winter months only twice last year – and it spent more time in the Repair shop than my use of it – so I said – I’m going electric ! My first purchase sent from the Toro mfg was disappointing – I received this model Toro – however – with missing parts!! Only 1 turn knob and missing washer & screw – incomplete packaging. Well – I had to call Amazon customer service and return the 1st unit sold me – and then they shipped me out another Toro 38381 18-Inch 15 Amp Electric 1800 Power Curve Snow Thrower – well the 2nd box shipment was totally complete with all parts and I was very happy. I also had no problems assembling the unit – as I also had read in an earlier review from someone else – I just followed the instructions step by step – and it was very easy to put together and with very little time. I’m a female and had no problems at all assembling it – actually a piece of cake! It’s very light weight unit and easy to handle. I then ordered the matching recommended low temp cord with was displayed with this Toro model on Amazon website – and plugged it all together and tested the unit – it ran just fine. Make sure you read the instruction booklet totally to make sure that the cord is not damaged, so that it will not damage your new Toro Electric Snow blower. Well like the others, I’m waiting for the snow to arrive here in Chicago to totally test the unit and report back on my review. I’m just happy I have an electric snow blower that requires NO maintenance, no gas/oil, just plug and go, a lightweight model and to just be careful of the electric cord. I got the 100′ ft – 14 gauge cord that was recommended – plugged into our 15 amp electric outlet in the garage – and it worked just fine. Now my next test is the snowfall here in Chicago – and it get’s extremely nasty here. Well – will report back during snow season! At this point, I would definitely recommend this buy! Giving it 5 stars.. but let’s report back during blizzard times!

Hitachi Gas Powered Straight Shaft Grass Trimmer

this was my first purchase ever of a weed trimmer and i bought it for mild use around my house for once in awhile ,although i didn’t get a chance to crank it up for at least a month after i received it i must tell everyone viewing my review (and not ever having another weed trimmer model to compare it with)that this model is amazing in every way from running smoothly and quietly with pretty much easy fluid preparations such as the oil and gas mix ( a cinch) and cuts the weeds from my pavement with such ease leaving a clean and groomed area.if you had to go and purchase a brand new audi which would leave you with many good feelings about it then this hitachi weed trimmer i would have to put in the same class as for also leaving you with many good feelings that you made the purchase i give it a 5 star and thank you for reading my review

I purchased this trimmer to replace a similar Echo trimmer I had been using for almost 30 yrs. Assembly was minimal and the directions clear. After adding fuel and following the starting instructions, it started on the third pull and ran smoothly. It is not as heavy as my old Echo and has a very good balance and thus easier to handle and less tiring to use. It was neither more nor less noisy than any of my other 2 stroke tools. Using the heavier gauge line, the spool will obviously hold fewer feet line than when using the smaller gauage. However. because the line is stronger and more durable it seems to last as long as when using the thinner line. Presumably because it is more durable and does not need to be fed as frequently. Wish I had thought of this and used it on my old Echo as it makes the trimming work a lot easier and quicker. Although I have only used this trimmer 3 or 4 times so far, I am very pleased with it and would recommend it. Of course, the $40 rebate from Hitachi and free shipping through Amazon makes the delivered price very appealing at $149. A great deal.

This is a top notch product. After using several different products ranging from battery, electric, and gass trimmers, I have to say this weed eater is in its own class. I love the power it produces, it’s relatively light weight, and how it has a variable power trigger which is a big bonus.
Only 2 small setbacks : It would be a good idea to wear jeans as the weed eater’s guard does a poor job of protecting your legs and you could get a thrashing from foreign objects being slung around. The other thing is the kill – on/off switch is easy to press by accident. This happened about 3 times on my first go and shut it off, but it restarted with one pull every time. I cut 2 lawns on its first use and it demolished everything in its path. Would buy again, best piece of lawn equipment besides my craftsman riding lawnmower.

Hp pavilion p6620f Great Product Save for One Issue

This PC was everything I hoped it would be. Combined with my internet service, (which is average), it streams anything, plays any video, is super fast enough for gaming and is just all around great. For the price including shipping it was the best deal I could find online for similar stats. (And just a note: It shipped super fast! Which is probably not the norm, but nice nevertheless.)

I have been looking for a computer for months. I came across this Hp pavilion p6620f on Amazon and my son (college student) finally approved of this one. He was going to build one for me. Then after seeing this HP he said for the money he couldn’t build it for much less. I’m very happy its a great computer. I still haven’t used it to its full capacity.

Windows 7 is simple to use and gets the job done. It also came packaged with a lot less junk then my last computer. (Though it still had some.) (And btw: I love all the packaged backgrounds and the customizable bar colors. But I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff.)

I’d had my eye on this for 6 months at the local Best Buy, and apparently good things DO come to those who wait because I was able to snag this on Amazon for $480 and free shipping! The downside: (and this is my own fault for not noticing) it doesn’t come with built-in wireless networking ability. That’s inexpensive & easily fixable. The tower arrived quickly & looked great, however when I set it up, it became obvious that the front USB ports were not working. The computer didn’t detect my flash that I’d inserted until I put the flash in one of the rear USB ports. I did a little research on the HP website, and after removing the side panel of the tower, I found that the USB connections had come loose during transit. After plugging them back in, the computer works great! With only one minor bump in the road, everything runs smooth! (I bought this computer to upgrade for the CS5 Photoshop & it’s amazing!)

One problem: Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put the power button on top of the tower is a lunatic. My cats constantly turn it off with their furry hineys. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea??

Anyway, other than that no complaints.

Viewsonic va2702w Very nice replacement monitor

Strangely, my computer monitor went south before my hard drive — so, rather than a new computer I went for a new monitor and backup drive. Good reviews of the ViewSonic monitor coaxed me in that direction. It is very easy to set up and a beautiful screen. The sound quality may leave a little to be desired but I’m not a techie and not sure how to improve the sound. When trying to work the manual monitor adjustments, I found the method of doing so not too user friendly. But, there are instructions for how to make those adjustments if need be.

The Viewsonic va2702w monitor is great and the price and shipping from Amazon prime are great as well. I will add a few things that were issues but really are easily addressed. I unpacked the screen and followed the “quick start” instructions. I unhooked my old bulky crt and plugged the vga and power into the back of the new viewsonic, at the same time as inserting the installation cd. I heard music out of my speakers but the screen was dark with a small “out of range” message in the center. I thought that I should have used the new vga cord that came with the new screen so I changed that – same message. I then went to my laptop to google the issue of “out of range” – after a few hits I found a suggestion to go to display properties and drag the resolution to 640×480 as all screens can handle this. Of course I couldn’t do this because the screen wasn’t working so I had to reconnect the crt and go to display etc and then reconnect the viewsonic. Success(sort of)! I had an image, although grossly out of whack, and was able to install the drivers easily. Throughout the process a message kept popping up- “set your monitor to 1920×1080″ Back to the display settings- no 1920x 1080- on to Nvidia website to download the newest drivers- now there is a 1920×1080 setting – the screen is beautiful and well proportioned BUT as mentioned elsewhere, everything is tiny- back to google( and also mentioned in the reviews) you can enlarge the text size on the desktop by right clicking and going to properties, increase font size. To increase the size of a webpage go ctrl+, to decrease ctrl-. The screen is beautiful and everything is proportioned and readable.

I love the wider screen! A blessing for failing eyes!

Just one more thing. I don’t usually comment on delivery but the monitor came in less than one week — very helpful when equipment fails.

Acer aod255-2509 Great travel computer

Bought this Acer aod255-2509 primarily for watching movies when we travel but have found myself using it around the house quite a bit. It’s no gaming system but surfs the net with ease ( I recommend chrome as it uses less memory) and can stream netflix without a problem. I haven’t upgraded memory yet although I’m thinking about it. Nice looking exterior and much lighter than competing netbooks (we have a toshiba netbook which is much more clunky). As long as you are realistic about its abilities you will be very happy with your purchase.

First of all I was expecting more from Acer but support from them is bad. A problem call to the 800# gets you to a call center in India where you are told how to re-install factory system image ( not a helpful thing). The users guide says very little useful. It mentions that to get wireless networking hitting Fn F2 (never says when !) will cycle the network light on the front from Orange to blue (wrong! – it turns it off and on). The multi-gesture touchpad does not work in horizontal direction (kinda sucks for web pages too wide for the screen). A useful tool would be a utility to echo what is being seen by the system. No where is it indicated who makes this touchpad (Synaptics) so that a look on the weak web page for Acer support would allow you to download a newer driver.

This netbook is awesome! I am a teacher and needed something light weight to take back and forth to school. I use it everyday to show Power Point presentations, check email, and input grades into the school’s grading system. This netbook is just as fast as my home laptop and hasn’t let me down yet. I would definitely recommend this product, but spend the extra $35 to upgrade to the 2Gb memory…it was worth every penny.

Gateway nv79c48u Fantastic! Outa the ball park

This Gateway nv79c48u laptop is fantastic. This laptop is a home run! Super fast, massive hard drive, runs any video game you want. This is a great all around computer. - Excellent Quality.
- Top Class Multi-function.
- Good Value Package for the Price.
- Excellent Design.

The very few cons I found with this laptop deal with the mouse pad. I had to play around a bit with the mouse pad properties to make it as sensitive as I like. It took a bit of digging to find the “Mouse & Pointers” folder in the Control Panel, but I think that is a Windows 7 issue and not a Gateway issue. The other thing is the mouse buttons. Sometimes the left-click button is too sensitive, so you wind up selecting/unselecting an item when all you want to do is just select it. It’s not a huge deal…just a little annoying. But I do find the multi-gesture mouse pad to be pretty cool. It makes it very easy to scroll through long documents or web pages.

The only other con is the Office package it comes with (and I think this is across the board with Windows-based computers these days): It comes with Microsoft WORKS rather than Microsoft OFFICE. Acer Sees Pronounced Desktop and Notebook Sales Growth

Even with all the so-called uncertainties regarding the market for PCs, it seems that Acer still succeeded in boosting its sales of both desktop and mobile personal computers, at least in the China market.

Since a new quarter has more or less ended recently, IT players are taking turns revealing their financial results.

Acer has not exactly done so, but Digitimes managed to score a report on its performance on the Chinese market.

Apparently, the China market is not as negatively affected by economical issues as other regions, Like Europe, so Acer actually managed to achieve a strong PC sales growth rate.

To be more specific, Acer’s shipments through channels on the Chinese market, and prior to the start of the national holidays on October 1, rose at a rate of 40 % to 50 % percent compared to the same period of last year.

This placed it on the number five spot as supplier of notebooks in China after holding a 7 percent share during the second quarter.

Acer is also expected to gain additional revenues of between NT$5.5 and NT$5.6 billion, the equivalent of US$178.15 to US$194.34 million, in the fourth quarter.

This will be possible as Acer will incorporate Founder, a company based in China, around the middle of the ongoing month.

These numbers are, of course, not official, them being mere estimates made by Digitimes’ so-called sources, although they are still quite telling of Acer’s status.

All in all, the Chinese market is expected to generate Acer revenues of roughly NT$46.5 billion throughout the whole year of 2010 and even grow to NT$77.5 next year.

Of course, as it would or would not be expected, Acer itself chose not to comment on this report.

In related news, Lenovo also managed to achieve sharp sales during the same period when Acer itself jumped upwards.

Toshiba Laptop Coupons – Here We Go

If you are planning to buy a Toshiba laptop, then Toshiba laptop coupons will be of great benefit to you. In fact, I am somehow sure that you are reading this particular article simply because you are looking for some discounts from this amazing company. Now, if that is the case, then you really do not need to worry an inch. This is because although you are not going to find a dozen coupons here, you are definitely going to find invaluable information which if you use it after getting a coupon, you can be sure that you will be able to make a purchase that will make many other people to envy you.

Choosing Your Product

The first step when it comes to finding the right Toshiba laptop coupons is to choose the products that will be suitable for you. This means that you should be willing to take your time to identify what exactly your needs are. It is very discouraging to realize that there are plenty of people who start looking for these coupons, but the mistake that they end up making is that they start preparing the coupons even before they have decided on the product that they would like to go with. Apart from your needs, you also need to consider how much money you will be willing to spend and whether the machine will be coming obsolete any time soon.

Getting What You Want

After you have settled on the kind of product that you are looking for, the next step involves the hard task of identifying where to get the coupons. Well, definitely, all Toshiba laptop coupons will come from Toshiba. However, there are many websites that will link you to coupons. This is because it will be pretty hard for you to keep on searching their website to see if there are any offers available. However, if you identify a good website and then you sign up with them, you can pretty sure that you will have a good time. You will definitely end up with a product that will turn out to be the envy of very many people.

Regardless of what other people are buying, it is important that you pay more attention to what you really need and what you budget is. If you make the mistake of getting into heavy debts simply because you wanted to show off, then you will not have made the best use of the Toshiba laptop coupons.

A Whole World Of Cheap Pink Laptops

The easiest place to find cheap pink laptops is online. Shopping on the internet allows you to see all computer specs at a glance, and search engines allow you to compare prices of the same brand at different locations. Pink is pretty popular right now, so many computer companies are making machines that are pretty in pink. Cheap is relative, but prices below £350 are fair on the pocket.

The Acer Aspire One D260 costs between £240 and £250. It has lilac flakes, so it’s not quite pink. Being a netbook, it’s smaller than the average laptop, and its dimensions are 258.5 mm x 185 mm x 24 mm, giving it a slim, delicate, girly appearance. It has 1GB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. The computer runs on Windows 7 Starter. Its processing speed is 1.66 GHz.

The Asus Karim Rashid Designer Netbook is a truer pink, and its cover looks like speckled crocodile skin. This computer has a larger hard drive – 250 GB, with 1GB of RAM. It has a battery life of 6 hours, and its price is £330 to £350. Its counterpart the Asus Eee PC 1008HA 10-inch Netbook is a slim 10-inch beauty in pale pink. It shares the specs of the Karim Rashid laptop, but is small and curvy, and retails at £313.

Next comes the HP Mini 110-1150SA Pink Chic 10.1-inch Netbook in deep pink. It has the usual 1 GB RAM and 250 GB hard drive, with a built-in webcam and microphone. It runs on Windows 7 and despite its tiny size, it has 3 USB ports. The computer costs about £305.

Samsung produces three pink computers, proving the demand. The NC 10 is an old model pink laptop in a dark shade. It runs on Windows XP, and has 1 GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. It costs £319. The N150 has 8 hours worth of battery use and costs £279, while the N130 in pale pink costs £262.

You can get lower prices on all the laptops above if you choose to buy a used computer, but it’s not advisable, since you can never tell the exact condition of a used computer. Some kinks may not show up until you’ve used the computer for a few weeks, and by then, it’ll be too late to get a refund.
